This is our last shot as conservatives to grab a majority on the Granbury ISD school board and finally steer this district back to sanity.
We've watched the mess unfold for years, and we have a chance to secure a Conservative Majority this November. Vote for Monica Brown, David Rogers, and Jessica Wark on November 4, or kiss goodbye any hope of real accountability, fiscal responsibility, and putting our kids first. Let me be crystal clear: this fight is about the issues—transparency, ethics, and stopping the waste that's bleeding our taxpayers dry.
DEI Squad: Calvin Lawrence, Barbara Townsend, and Stuart Neal.
These three are the establishment's dream team, pushing agendas that have nothing to do with educating our children and everything to do with bloating the bureaucracy. Barbara Townsend? She's been glued to that board seat through every single scandal that's rocked Granbury ISD since at least 2018. Remember the bullying nightmare that exploded in 2023, where kids and even parents were targeted, with social media turning into a battlefield? Townsend was there, presiding over it all without lifting a finger to clean house. Then there's the plane fiasco—yeah, the one where district resources got tangled up in questionable dealings that left taxpayers scratching their heads. And don't get me started on the grooming allegations against teachers; reports of improper relationships with students surfaced, yet the board under Townsend's watch dragged their feet on real investigations. Add in the superintendent drama with Jeremy Glenn, where the district refused to hold him accountable for his behind-the-scenes rants and electioneering stunts that divided our community. Townsend's fingerprints are on every failure, from financial mismanagement to ignoring parent concerns about curriculum that strays from core education. She's been the driving force behind every tax hike Granbury ISD has slapped on us, jacking up taxes while our student population has actually dropped year after year, despite Hood County's growth. Parents are pulling their children from Granbury ISD every day. These three have been screaming about exploding enrollment to justify their spending sprees, but the numbers don't lie: it's not growing much, if at all.
Calvin Lawrence? This guy's obsession with DEI is straight out of the Marxist playbook. He didn't just dip his toe in—he led Tarleton State University's Office of Diversity and Inclusion, funneling resources into programs that prioritize identity politics over actual learning. In Granbury, that means more divisive training sessions for staff and less focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic. We've seen how this stuff infiltrates schools, creating tension where none is needed. This ain't about race—it's about wasting our money on feel-good initiatives that don't help a single student graduate ready for the real world. He and his wife have donated to ActBlue Texas, Nancy Pelosi, Collin Allred, and Kamala Harris all in the last 2 years! His wife says we are racist for bringing it up, because they are Democrats, and that's what Democrats do.
Stuart Neal? Talk about a power-hungry opportunist. This is his FOURTH swing at elected office, and he's striking out every time. First, he ran for County Attorney, and lost. Then he applied for the DA appointment in Hood County—didn't get it. Then he ran for county attorney a second time back in 2022—lost that one too. Now he's eyeing the school board like it's his golden ticket. But where's he been all these years when Granbury ISD was crumbling? Nowhere near any GISD activities, that's where. No volunteering, no parent meetings, no nothing until election season rolls around. He's desperate for a title, plain and simple, and he'll say anything to get it.
Mark my words: If the DEI Squad wins, they'll ram through another bond election faster than you can say "tax hike." They've already tried it multiple times—like the $161 million flop in 2024 and the $394 million push that tanked amid community outrage. Three failed bonds in 24 months, because we don't trust them! They'll keep peddling the lie that our student numbers are booming to justify borrowing millions for shiny new projects we don't need, all while enrollment keeps falling. And who pays? You, the hardworking taxpayer. They've refused to crack down on waste. Enough is enough!
Taxpayer Champions
On the flip side, we have Taxpayer Champions in Monica Brown, David Rogers, and Jessica Wark. These people are committed to representing us—the taxpayers—who foot the bill for this district. Monica's been a fierce advocate for transparency, fighting against the filth-pushing-Marxists and the silencing of parents. David and Jessica? They're all about ethics, making sure every dollar is spent wisely and every decision is out in the open. No more backroom deals or sweeping scandals under the rug. They'll prioritize our students' success, ensuring top-notch education. They're the conservative voices we need to watch out for waste, hold leaders accountable, and deliver the best outcomes for our kids. They'll fight for lower taxes, smarter spending, and a district that puts families first.
Conservatives, this is it—our final chance to flip the board and fix Granbury ISD.
Don't sit this one out. Get to the polls on November 4 and vote Brown, Rogers, and Wark.
