Lawrence Eyes Profit From School Board Seat
He plans to use the statewide network of trustees to generate leads for his company.

Dr. Calvin Lawrence's run for Granbury ISD school board is alarming because it is clear to see his motivation; he views the position not as public service, but as a networking tool to boost his "Diversity in Education Consulting" business.
Think about it. This man has had ZERO involvement with the district until running for school board. He claimed to be unemployed on his last donation to Democrats...a spot on the school board would kickstart his consulting business, further explained below.
Following his leadership of Tarleton's Office of Diversity and Inclusion during the Obama era, he's devoted recent years to launching his consulting firm. What savvier move to propel his business than attending a TASB training, persuading trustees statewide that—for a modest $7,000—he'll provide expert presentations on sidestepping those burdensome Anti-CRT and Anti-DEI regulations?
One presentation per month would turn his "no salary" position into $84,000/year. Do you understand how many seminars he could fit into a summer? If elected, he could easily start making $100,000/year off Taxpayers around the state.
These consultants exist. I know this because I sat in on one the the Long Range Planning Committees a year or two ago when "Dr. Deb" came in and was touted as an expert. She was another one of these people pushing the hateful and racist DEI propaganda. Calvin would be doing the same. There's no telling how much we paid for that useless tool to "consult" for Granbury ISD.
Lawrence's "diversity consulting" firm focuses on "Diversity and Inclusion" training, but it shows little sign of success—no major clients and very few testimonials, of which two are clearly friends of his trying to help. Mind you, he's been in business for 8 years already. It's just a small operation scraping by. If elected, he'd gain access to educators, administrators, and parents, perfectly positioned to solicit contracts and enrich himself. That's classic grifting: using taxpayer-funded office for personal gain, not student welfare.
Further showing his Liberal positions, Lawrence and his wife Amanda regularly donate to far-left causes like ActBlue Texas, Nancy Pelosi's PAC, Kamala Harris's PAC, and Collin Allred's PAC. This reveals his liberal leanings in a conservative district, where he'd push divisive agendas over core education.
Republicans cannot in good conscience vote for this man. He will, with the help of "Kneeling Stuart Neal, esq.", engineer ways to enrich himself and weasel around the laws to push more DEI training and ideals into the minds of our youths as well as our teachers.
Just last month he donated to ActBlue Texas, the Democrat Party's fundraising arm. Donations flow from ActBlue to whichever candidate or PAC it's earmarked for. Federal guidelines require ActBlue to show who the donation is earmarked for. Texas doesn't, leaving us to speculate which Democrat candidate in Texas Calvin donated to last month.
Voters, beware: Electing Lawrence means inviting self-serving opportunism into our schools. Choose true conservatives who prioritize kids, not cash.
Vote FOR Monica Brown, David Rogers and Jessica Wark for School Board.
